Ensenada es una ciudad que depende en gran medida del turismo, por lo que ataques como el ocurrido pueden inhibir el flujo de visitantes de otras ciudades del Estado o del país o del sur de los Estados Unidos con afectaciones a la economía, advirtió.
Pidió a las autoridades para que los acuerdos que se toman en las reuniones cupulares de coordinación,se traduzcan en acciones efectivas por parte de los jefes de las diversas corporaciones policíacas que parecieran incapaces de hacer frente a la grave situación de inseguridad.
El gobierno tiene las facultades legales, el monopolio en la aplicación de la Ley, los recursos económicos y la obligación constitucional de brindar seguridad a la ciudadanía, no obstante, debemos brindar el respaldo que requiera de la sociedad organizada para cumplir con su cometido, expresó.
