Con el fin de promover el avistamiento de ballenas como una oferta turística más de Baja California, se invita a la población en general a que acudan a los paseos que se realizan en esta temporada invernal en la bahía de Todos Santos, Ensenada.
Bahía de Todos Santos es una zona donde se ubica la ruta de paso del hermoso cetáceo y donde se pueden observar otras especies como lobos marinos, delfines, pelícanos.
El avistamiento se realizará hasta principios de mayo, con un costo de 450 pesos para adulto y 350 pesos para niños, otorgando los armadores descuentos dentro del programa “Se Turista en Baja California”, con previa reservación.
- Las recomendaciones para disfrutar más el paseo son las siguientes:
·Verificar que la embarcación cuente con el permiso de avistamiento (banderola) expedido por la SEMARNAT.
·Llegar 30 minutos antes de la hora de partida.
·Tomar una pastilla contra el mareo una hora antes de abordar el barco; incluso si nunca se marea, es mejor prevenir y disfrutar el viaje.
·Desayunar normalmente, ya que en general los recorridos duran 4 horas, por lo que es recomendable traer almuerzo; las manzanas y cítricos son una buena opción.
·Ir abrigado, durante la temporada invernal el viento es frío aunque el día esté soleado; llevar zapatos cómodos y no usar tacones altos.
·No olvidar su cámara y si tiene binoculares, mucho mejor.
Las nubes no determinan las condiciones del mar, si el día está nublado pero no llueve y el mar está picado, el viaje se suspende; ante todo, se cuida la seguridad y comodidad de los pasajeros.
Durante su visita a Ensenada, el visitante encontrará hoteles para todos los presupuestos, así como restaurantes que ofrecen una gran variedad de platillos regionales, mexicanos e internacionales, sin olvidar acompañar su comida o cena con un buen vino bajacaliforniano de reconocimiento internacional.
Además podrán visitar el Centro Social, Cívico y Cultural Riviera de Ensenada, edificio emblemático que fue hotel y casino en la década de 1930 y que alberga al museo de historia de Ensenada; el malecón y su jardín ventana al mar; la zona vinícola del valle de Guadalupe mejor conocida como la ruta del vino, donde puede realizar un recorrido guiado en alguna vinícola de su elección.
El sur de Ensenada también cuenta con los atractivos de la Antigua Ruta del Vino, La Bufadora, que es un geiser marino que avienta un chorro de agua de más de 20 metros de altura. Y playas como «La lobera» o Eréndira».
