Por ello es que desde hace casi una década se viene organizando en el malecón de Ensenada la Feria de la Sardina, para informar al consumidor y las familias mexicanas, la gran alternativa de este producto pesquero, que por su bajo precio y alto poder nutritivo es ideal para formar parte del menú cotidiano en nuestros hogares.
Este domingo 9 de septiembre, a partir de las 11 de la mañana, en la Ventana al Mar de Ensenada -sobre el bulevar Costero- se desarrollará la décima edición de la Feria de la Sardina.
En el evento, de acceso gratuito se expondrán diversidad de platillos elaborados con sardina, algunos a base de chocolate, chiles rellenos, en nogada, en antojitos típicos, ceviches, consomé, estofado, brochetas, por mencionar algunos.
Habrá música en vivo, baile, concursos y una contienda gastronómica de chefs aficionados y profesionales, que tiene como premio 3 mil dólares en efectivo.
Este año nuevamente se contará con la participación del invitado especial, el reconocido chef mexicano Benito Molina, especialista en pescados y mariscos de la península de Baja California.
Junto a la degustación de los platillos a base de sardinas, y el divertimento musical, se realiza el concurso gastronómico, en dos categorías: chefs y estudiantes de cocina, así como para el público en general y aficionados. Previo a una insripción que se cerró el pasado mes de agosto, y que tandrá los siguientes premios

Segundo Lugar: 400 dólares en efectivo
Tercer Lugar: 100 dólares en efectivo más paquete de cocina.
