El Consejo Mexicano Vitivinícola A.C. en voz de su presidente, Daniel Milmo Brittingham, afirmó que a 70 años de haberse fundado dicho organismo, resulta histórica la decisión del Gobierno de México de impulsar un marco legal a la Industria Vitivinícola Nacional.

Se anuncia un nuevo incremento logrado en el consumo per cápita de .960ml en comparación con los datos del 2013 y 2014 de un consumo perca pita de .750ml lo cual representa toda una oportunidad de su desarrollo y expansión en México si se compara el nivel que alcanza de consumo per cápita a nivel mundial del cual destaca países en Europa como: Portugal con 51.4 litros, Francia 51.2 litros, Italia 43.6 litros, España con 25.3 litros; y en América con Argentina con 28.7 litros, Chile con 17.1 litros, Canadá con 16.5 litros, EUA con 16.5 litros y Brasil con 1.9 litros.

Ahora más que nunca será una realidad este año 2018 el inicio del registro de una marca colectiva de “Vino Mexicano” ante el Instituto Mexicano de la Propiedad Industrial (IMPI) de la Secretaria de Economía donde se logre no sólo certificar el cumplimiento de las normas oficiales mexicanas sino las características de los distintos estilos de vinos que se elaboran en México, de los atributos de calidad y excelencia para brindar mayor certeza ante el consumidor mexicano e internacional en la información comercial que se proporciona en las etiquetas del vino que se comercializa en México.
El Consejo Mexicano Vitivinícola A.C impulsará la campaña “TODOS UNIDOS POR EL VINO MEXICANO” con el apoyo de los productores y apoyo obtenido por parte del Gobierno de la República a través de la SAGARPA con los incentivos de promoción comercial que se otorgan a través de ASERCA a fin de que un mayor numero de consumidores mexicanos tengan mayor información sobre las características de la producción, de las regiones productoras y de la variedad de estilos y calidad de los vinos mexicanos.
El Consejo Mexicano Vitivinícola estima que con la aplicación de incentivos y apoyos en un lapso entre 10 y 15 años habrá posibilidades de duplicar el número de hectáreas cultivadas de vid, con estimaciones de poder incrementar anualmente en promedio 433 hectáreas de viñedos para producir vinos mexicanos y que actualmente están cultivadas 6,474 hectáreas con las cuales en tan solo 4 entidades federativas concentran el 72% de la producción nacional destacando en 1er lugar Baja California 57%, 2ndo. lugar Coahuila con 8.5%, 3er. lugar Querétaro con el 4.0% y Guanajuato con el 2.3%.
La ley permitirá construir una plataforma de políticas públicas en los tres niveles de gobierno para fomentar las capacidades de producción y crecimiento de infraestructura, estimando un ritmo acelerado de crecimiento anual esperado del 7.0% a fin de poner a disposición a partir del año 2022 una cantidad adicional 300,000 litros de vino mexicano para el mercado interno a fin de aumentar la participación de un 29.3% a un 45% aproximado de participación en el mercado interno y aumentar la participación de hasta un 10% a 15% de la producción nacional para satisfacer la demanda por el vino mexicano de los mercados internacionales hacia los Estados Unidos, Europa y Asia.
La ley también podrá ayudar a generar apoyos para la promoción, distribución y comercialización de vino mexicano en territorio nacional por el impulso y vinculación de la ampliación de la oferta de destinos y servicios turísticos en las regiones vitivinícolas del país, así como del fomento de las actividades culturales y de vinculación con la gastronomía mexicana en todo el territorio mexicano.
Hoy existen 2,900 productores; se generan mas de 3,000 empleos de manera directa e indirecta y participan más de 500,000 jornaleros agrícolas de migrantes que viajan de los estados mas pobres del sur en apoyo a las actividades de poda y cosecha en viñedos que hacen posible hoy en día la existencia de más de 200 bodegas vinícolas y empresas que actualmente elaboran y comercializan el vino mexicano.
Los apoyos a lograr en el futuro no solo contribuirá a aumentar la producción, sino aumentar la expansión de nuevos emprendimientos de empresas y continuar aumentando la variedad de estilos de vinos tintos, blancos, rosados y espumosos; así como continuar con esquemas de aseguramiento de la calidad y excelencia, de la cual en los últimos 9 años los vinos mexicanos ha ganado mas de 1,200 medallas en concursos internacionales.
