El laureado boxeador tijuanense, Erik «Terrible» Morales, reaparecerá ante el público, pero ahora no sobre un ring, sino montando a caballo.
Esta sábado 14 de abril, Morales será el invitado especial de la cabalgata en el Valle de Guadalupe, organizada por la Unión de Ejidatarios de la Zona Norte de Ensenada.
La cabalgata empezará a las 10 de la mañana y saldrá del Rancho «Las Delicias» en El Porvenir, teniendo como puntos de recorrido Guadalupe, Los Olivares, San Antonio Necua, la carretera libre Ensenada-Tijuana, Francisco Zarco, para regresar al punto de partida donde la fiesta irá para largo.
Se espera la participación de 200 caballos, de todos los puntos del estado, entre ellos la Asociación de Charros de Rosarito, Charros de Tijuana, Coordinación Estatal de Vaqueros, entre otros.
Se trata de un evento familiar con fiesta, comida y baile, que estará amenizado con un grupo norteño, y para comer habrá borrego asado, carnitas de puerco, tamales, burritos y mariscos.
Al margen de que «El Terrible» Morales actualmente sea candidato a diputado federal por el Distrito VII, su invitación a ser la estrella de la cabalgata obedece a la admiración que todo el pueblo bajacaliforniano, y en especial los residentes de los valles y ejidos de Ensenada sienten por el otrora cuatro veces campeón mundial, aclaró Rafael Romo Pereida, presidente de la Unión de Ejidatarios de la Zona Norte.
El líder ejidal comentó que nunca se ha realizado una cabalgata de tan magnitud en El Porvenir, y que la presencia del ídolo del boxeo tijuanense ha despertado gran expectación no solamente de la gente de todo el estado, sino allende las fronteras pues hay familias que estarán llegando desde California o Arizona para ver a Morales.
«Será una cabalgata histórica, con ánimo festivo pero también sentido patriota, llamativa porque los caballos gustan mucho y llamarán la atención de la gente que se los encuentren, además de la presencia de lujo de «El Terrrible» quien tantos triunfos y orgullo dio para nuestro país», resumió Romo, quien enarbolando una bandera mexicana irá al frente de la cabalgata escoltando al «Terrible», quien demostrará que así como golpea, monta.
