- La oferta turística de Baja California ha favorecido las pernoctas de visitantes. Lo que busca en Baja California es obtener más pernoctas, y a eso le apuestan con la mejor oferta turística, de gastronomía, naturaleza, enología y los mejores servicios, obtener la mayor cantidad de visitantes que pasen cuando menos una noche”.
- Nuestro estado tuvo una ocupación hotelera general de 28.66% al cierre de 2020, cuando por motivos de la pandemia se registró un descenso de 23.76 puntos porcentuales respecto a 2019, año en el cual tuvo una ocupación promedio de 52.42%.
De enero a mayo de este año, hubo una ocupación de cuartos de hotel del 37.50%, es decir un 8.31% más que en ese mismo periodo de 2020, cuando ocuparon el 29.19% de habitaciones.
Baja California registró 2.7 millones de cuartos ocupados al cierre de 2020, es decir 1.8 millones menos que en 2019, año en que sumaron 4.6 millones de cuartos ocupados.
A partir de enero de este 2021, se observó una recuperación notable, y al cierre de mayo pasado se ocuparon 1,4 millones de cuartos, es decir 35.99% más que en 2020, con una diferencia de 396 mil 486 habitaciones.
En el caso de Ensenada, al cierre del 2020 hubo una ocupación hotelera general de 22.10%, registrando un descenso de 24.45 puntos porcentuales respecto a 2019, año en el cual se registró una ocupación promedio de 46.56%.
De enero a mayo 2021, este municipio registró una ocupación de 31.33%, con 9.23 puntos porcentuales más que durante el mismo periodo de 2020, cuando se registró un hospedaje del 22.10%. - De enero a mayo 2021, Ensenada contabilizó 267 mil 658 cuartos ocupados, es decir 102% más que el 2020 en ese mismo periodo, en el cual sumaron 132 mil 504 cuartos, con una diferencia de 135 mil 154.
En cuando al consumo turístico, también de enero a mayo, Baja California recibió en 2019 a 10.9 millones de visitantes, mismos que generaron un consumo de 46,8 mil millones de pesos, mientras que en 2020 arribaron 6,6 millones, 39.4% menos que en 2019, arrojando ingresos por 28,2 mil millones de pesos.
Este año, han arribado a Baja California 8.9 millones de personas, superando en +36% al 2020, con un consumo de 38 mil 384 millones de pesos.
En otros indicadores, con base en los datos de las comandancias de los aeropuertos de Tijuana, Mexicali y San Felipe, Mario Escobedo también se refirió a las operaciones y arribos pasajeros aéreos, rubro en el que Baja California registra un incremento de 53.98% en pasajeros recibidos durante el periodo referido, así como un incremento de 3.07% respecto al mismo periodo de 2019. - En cuando al cruce desde el aeropuerto de Tijuana (CBX), al cierre de 2020 hubo un decremento de 34.1% respecto a datos de 2019, pasando de un millón 114 mil 965 cruces en 2019, a 735 mil 164 el año pasado, y al cierre de mayo 2021, se contaron 250 mil 46 cruces fronterizos.
CRECEN LAS EXPORTACIONES
De los 17 estados de México que mejoraron su nivel de exportaciones al primer trimestre 2021, en contra parte al primer trimestre 2020, antes del comienzo de la pandemia, Baja California ocupa el tercer lugar, con 9.9 mil millones de dólares captados, lo que representó un incremento del 6.7%.
