Fiesta de los Viñedos en Flor, el evento filantrópico por excelencia de Comité Provino Baja California que beneficia al Albergue San Vicente (organismo dedicado a brindar ayuda al migrante e indigente en la ciudad de Ensenada) es la suma del talento y la buena voluntad de decenas de colaboradores que lo hacen posible. El Comité Provino Baja California agradece su valiosa aportación para hacer de estos 3 días un gran festejo comunitario en honor a los productores de la tierra.
- Talleres y visitas.
Durante el primer día, jueves 7 de junio, se realizaron visitas y talleres en distintas locaciones teniendo como hilo conductor el cuidado al medio ambiente. “Taller de composta de alta calidad”impartido por Jimena Rábago y Juan José Villacis en San Antonio de las Minas donde explicaron los roles de los ingredientes, las etapas y los cuidados que deben tomarse para que la composta térmica se mantenga sana realizando una práctica de elaboración de una pila de compostaje pequeña con una receta para verano.“Antes de desmontar piénsalo 2 veces”una visita guiada por Paula Pijoan a Quinta Estrella (San Antonio de las Minas) que brindó una visión diferente de cómo se puede desarrollar un terreno rural, respetando y potenciando la identidad del paisaje natural en el que vivimos.“Keyline: Cómo captar agua de lluvia en tu terreno”visita al Rancho Cañada de Alisos localizado en La Misión donde el ingeniero Raúl Yagües recibió y explicó con detalles los principios aplicados, además de compartir su experiencia de forestación de una ladera norte, esperando que los asistentes reconocieran la gama de posibilidades de captación de agua de lluvia aprovechando la topografía de su terreno. “Captación de agua de lluvia en un viñedo”en esta visita a Viña de Frannes don Ernesto Álvarez Murphy compartió personalmente la infraestructura construida a lo largo de los años para el óptimo aprovechamiento del agua de lluvia: presa de recarga con vertedero, bordos, gabiones, pozos de absorción.
Para concluir la jornada del primer día, se llevaron a cabo diferentes talleres de educación ambiental enfocados a alumnos de educación media superior del Colegio de Bachilleres plantel Valle de Guadalupe.
- Conferencias en flor.
Por segundo año consecutivo se realizó de forma gratuita el ciclo de conferencias en la Cava de Santo Tomás en San Antonio de las Minas teniendo como objetivo abordar temas de sustentabilidad, vinicultura y agua. El viernes 08 de junio las puertas se abrieron a las 08:30AM para dar inicio con la primera ponencia en punto de las 9:00AM tras las palabras de bienvenida del Lic. Fernando Pérez Castro, Presidente de Comité Provino Baja California.
Ante una audiencia que superó las 200 personas -entre estudiantes, trabajadores del campo, vinicultores, empresarios y público en general- el programa estuvo conformado por el Lic. Héctor Corona(Corona del Valle) con el caso de estudio “Sistema de irrigación eficiente”, seguido por el Dr. César Valenzuela(INIFAP) con el tema “Manejo sustentable del agua de riego en el viñedo”. La tercera ponencia estuvo a cargo del Dr. Miguel Altieri(UC en Berkeley) “Adaptación de la viticultura al cambio climático” y para finalizar nos acompañó el Chef Enrique Olvera (Restaurante Pujol, CDMX) con la conferencia “Biodiversidad y su conservación”.
En la antesala del recinto se podía visitar el Corredor Ecológico compuesto por distintos proyectos y asociaciones dedicadas a fomentar el respeto y el manejo responsable de nuestros recursos naturales como: Berry Good Food Foundation, INAGRO, Cambio de Aires, SemillAmadi, Pachamama Baja, Trashumancia, Solum Vitae y Rancho Guatacay.
Para obtener recursos que permitan seguir ofertando estas jornadas de Conferencias en Flor, esa misma noche del viernes el restaurante Corazón de Tierra se engalanó con el chef invitado Enrique Olvera. Se ofreció una cena maridaje de 6 tiempos a cargo de Olvera y de los chefs anfitriones Diego Hernández y Drew Deckman quienes unieron su talento y sazón inigualable para celebrar la biodiversidad.
Festival.
El día sábado 9 de junio fue el gran cierre con la tradicional “Fiesta de los Viñedos en Flor” teniendo como sede las instalaciones de la vinícola Finca La Carrodilla. Las puertas se abrieron en punto de las 12:00 horas para recibir a los 1,000 asistentes que se dieron cita para en familia rendir homenaje a los productores de la tierra y para beneficiar con su aportación al Albergue San Vicente.
A la entrada se encontraba instalado el Mercadito Campestre, donde el público podía encontrar diversos productos de la región entre panificados, aceites de oliva, quesos, charcutería, hortalizas orgánicas así como flores de ornato y flores comestibles. En el área gastronómica se ofrecía de forma gratuita degustación de más de 120 etiquetas de vino de las 62 vinícolas participantes. Diversos platillos estaban a la venta, a precios muy asequibles, preparados al momento por los chefs invitados: Drew Deckman (lechón a la cruz), Gaby Melchum (vegetales asados), Edgard Romero (pato laqueado), Miguel Bahena (codornices en adobo de guajillo), Roberto Alcocer (salchichas polacas artesanales), Sheyla Alvarado (torta de borrego) y la Universidad Vizcaya de las Américas (ensaladas, sopa fría y bruschettas).
Los niños disfrutaron de varias actividades recreativas y culturales. Vuelo de papalotes, recorrido en tractor por el viñedo para conocer la granja y alimentar a los animales, recorrido al huerto orgánico y talleres de artes plásticas impartidos por Sembrando el Arte (origami, mandalas en piedras, arte en botellas, figuras en plastilina, huellitas en barro). Por su parte, los alumnos de Universidad Vizcaya realizaron el taller para niños de “Cocina sin cuchillos y teñido de vegetales” así como la demostración permanente de “Mukimono, demostración de tallado de vegetales”.
A las 3:00 de la tarde arrancó el Torneo de Petanca coordinado por David Martínez, miembro de la Federación Mexicana de Petanca, donde participaron duplas conformadas por público de todas las edades llevándose el 2do. lugar los niños Alejandro y Benito y la dupla ganadora del 1er. lugar fue la de Sebastián Rubio y Carlos Nava.
Otra parte fundamental del evento es la Subasta de Arte. Esther Gámez fue la encargada de coordinar a los artistas plásticos invitados de esta edición: Marco Miranda, Vincent Wray y Claudia Fernández, esta última gracias a la alianza de Charco (programa de residencias entre España y México). La dinámica consistió en que cada uno de los artistas elaboraron una pintura en gran formato con ayuda de niños asistentes, una vez finalizadas se subastaron en pro del Albergue San Vicente rebasando todas las expectativas y consiguiendo este año mayores cifras de recaudación que en ediciones anteriores.
Fiesta de los Viñedos en Flor es una gran verbena familiar, un homenaje a las bondades que nos da la tierra y donde todos los actores se suman donando su tiempo y su producto con un solo fin: contribuir cada uno desde su trinchera para el Albergue San Vicente. Más allá de la exitosa convocatoria, en Comité Provino Baja California nos ilusiona el poder generar espacios en donde además de fomentar la cultura del vino se promuevan valores como la agroecología, la sustentabilidad y la conciencia ecológica.
